The Mouse Morris trained Call Rog stuck to his task well to eventually win and justify 11/10 favouritism in the Casey Concrete Blocks Maiden Hurdle at Wexford today.

Ridden by Mark Walsh, the son Beneficial had to battle from well before the final flight to see off the challenge of Ciarans Oscar on the run-in, scoring a half length win.

Afterwards Morris stated "I was hoping he'd do that! He'll probably go for a handicap now or a winners' of one, and being by Beneficial, I'd imagine he would prefer softer ground. I'd say he is an out and out chaser."
