Camillo In Top Trim

Sander Camillo, currently vying for favouritism with Irish hope Finsceal Beo for the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket in May, is continuing to please now her work has stepped up a gear.

The Jeremy Noseda-trained filly had the pundits purring following her five-length demolition job in the Cherry Hinton Stakes last July but she has not been seen since.

She missed her intended engagement in the Cheveley Park Stakes due to soft ground, and connections say she could bypass a Guineas prep if similar conditions were to present themselves at the Craven meeting in April.

'She has never actually been away from Jeremy this winter and she went back in to stronger work in January,' said Barry Simpson, racing manager to owner Sir Robert Ogden.

'A lot depends on the ground as to whether she will run at the Craven meeting or go straight to the Guineas.

'She is very forward and everything is going according to plan with her and we are very pleased.'
