Canadian jockey trampled to death A jockey was trampled to death and four others were injured after a pile up caused by the fall of the leading horse at a race meeting in Quebec yesterday. Serge Turenne, 38, died and four other jockeys suffered broken limbs when the trot race, where the jockey rides in a buggy behind the horse, ended in a mass pile-up with several horses falling or trampling on fallen riders, police spokesman Michel Fortin explained. Despite the pile-up horror three horses and riders went on to finish the race.
