Candidates set for The Apprentice final Jockey Joseph O'Brien has a strong book of rides, in his quest to become Champion Apprentice Jockey, for tomorrow's cliff-hanger finale at Dundalk. O'Brien trails both Gary Carroll and Ben Curtis (each on 39 winners) by two going into tomorrow's eight race card but holds a strong set of eight rides including Empowering and Regent Street, both for his father Aidan O'Brien, in both maidens. Carroll, meanwhile, is booked for five rides including strong fancy Quinmaster in the opener while Curtis has four booked rides and is due to ride one reserve, if getting a run. William Hill bookmakers bet 4/6 Carroll, 6/4 Curtis and 8/1 O'Brien.
