Candy gives Limato Haydock green light Henry Candy will rely upon July Cup hero Limato rather than last year's winner Twilight Son in the 32Red Sprint Cup at Haydock on Saturday. With ground conditions set fair, Candy feels the versatile Limato will be more at home on Merseyside than his stablemate. He was last seen chasing home Mecca's Angel in the Nunthorpe over five furlongs and Candy's only concern was whether Limato would be over those exertions in time. "Limato will run, but Twilight Son will not," said Candy. "I'm expecting just good ground." Karl Burke's filly Quiet Reflection has had a nice break since running respectably behind Limato in the July Cup and renews rivalry. Magical Memory, third in the race last year, is a standing dish in these Group One sprints and represents Charlie Hills. Strath Burn was only narrowly beaten into second place by Twilight Son 12 months ago, when trained by Hills, but he will run under Robert Cowell's name this weekend. James Fanshawe is represented by The Tin Man, impressive last time out at Newbury, while Andrew Balding's supplemented Dancing Star steps up markedly in class after having won the the Stewards' Cup at Goodwood. Another supplemented was Ed Vaughan's Mehronissa, with Irish raider Only Mine, Divine and Jane's Memory other fillies taking part. Donjuan Triumphant, Goken, 2013 Sprint Cup winner Gordon Lord Byron, Sole Power, Suedois, Kachy and Mr Lupton make up the 17 declarations.
