Cape Blanco faces stiff test in Dante

Ballydoyle's unbeaten colt Cape Blanco will face just four rivals in this afternoon's Group 2 Dante Stakes at York following the withdrawal of Fair Trade.

This traditional Derby Trial is by far the stiffest test the son of Galileo has faced and Aidan O'Brien has expressed doubts about the colt's optimum trip.

There are no such worries for the Godolphin Team who saddle the ex-Jim Bolger trained Chabal. He made a winning seasonal debut over this 1m2f distance at Sandown three weeks ago when landing the bet365 Classic Trial.

"I was pleased with the way Chabal won at Sandown and he came out of that race in very good order," Saeed Bin Suroor, the horse's trainer told www.godolphin.com.

"His last piece of work went very well and he is ready to race again.

"He's taking a step up in class now and it looks like it will be a tough race to win.

"But he goes there in good form and I am looking to see him run a good race at York."
