Capital Theory another 'roughie' to score at Naas The TRM Calphormin - Strong Foundation, Strong Future Apprentice Handicap produced another big-priced winner at Naas in the shape of Capital Theory (25/1) who provided Sadhbh Tormey with the second victory of her career. A six-time winner for Mark and Charlie Johnston in Britain, the Muhaarar gelding ran down Convincing, who had kicked for home over two furlongs out, in the final 50 yards and held on by a neck from the staying-on Calzaghi (5/2 fav). The winner is trained in Donegal by Declan McGuigan, an uncle of Dylan Browne McMonagle, and is owned by Spa Pallet Services Limited. Tormey explained: “They went hard so I just dropped him in. He has the pace to quicken up and I knew that they were going to tire coming up that hill.  “He started picking them off in the straight and it was just a matter of catching Gabriella Hill (on Convincing). He kept plugging away all the way to the line.” She added: “Tom (McCourt) has a good few in and he’s been very good to me and given me lots of opportunities. He always likes to have a good few for Dundalk so hopefully I’ll be making the trip up every Friday.”    Additional reporting by Alan Magee
