Capri gets into gear for Royal Lodge Leading Classic contender Capri leads a nine-strong squad for Aidan O'Brien in the Juddmonte Royal Lodge Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday. The grey colt, a son of the all-conquering Galileo, won his maiden at Galway before progressing to Listed honours in the Canford Cliffs Stakes at Tipperary. He is the current second-favourite for the Investec Derby behind stablemate Churchill. In line to redeem his reputation in the Group Two contest over a mile is Douglas Macarthur, who was pushing for Derby favouritism before being surprisingly beaten on Irish Champions Weekend. The beautifully-bred Yucatan - by Galileo out of Six Perfections - is another O'Brien possible. O'Brien's son Joseph could saddle Arcada, who opened his account at the third attempt when beating Capri over this course and distance at the Curragh in July. He was last seen finishing third to Churchill in the Futurity Stakes last month. Mark Johnston's Frankuus, a son of Frankel, is among the leading lights for the home team, having impressed when trying a mile for the first time at Haydock last time out.
