Carberry to ride War Of Attrition Paul Carberry will replace the sidelined Davy Russell aboard War Of Attrition in the Lexus Chase at Leopardstown on Sunday. Carberry received the late call-up to ride Mouse Morris' star after Russell was stood down by medical staff at Leopardstown today suffering from dehydration. Russell has partnered the nine-year-old on his three outings since the retirement of Conor O'Dwyer but Morris said, 'Unfortunately Davy has been stood down for 48 hours but thankfully we have got a good substitute in Paul.' Carberry twice won the race on Beef Or Salmon, including when the pair memorably beat Best Mate in the 2004 renewal. War Of Attrition, a general 9/2 chance, faces eight rivals in the three miles Grade 1 event including Neptune Collonges, The Listener and Exotic Dancer.
