Card heads King George 11 entries All the big guns stood their ground among the 11 remaining acceptors for the William Hill King George VI Chase at Kempton on St Stephen's Day. Topping the pile is Colin Tizzard's Cue Card, who blitzed his rivals in a top-quality renewal of the Betfair Chase at Haydock. Paul Nicholls has had a stranglehold on the race in recent years thanks to the legendary Kauto Star and is set to rely on Al Ferof, owned by John Hales, who won the race twice with another grey, One Man. Nicholls could also run Silviniaco Conti, winner of the Betfair last year and third to Cue Card last month. The one horse who was able to break Kauto Star's grip on the race was Nicky Henderson's Long Run, who also took the spoils last year, but he has looked a shadow of his former self in two runs this season. Henderson could also run Riverside Theatre, who came from the clouds to win the Peterborough Chase on his reappearance at Huntingdon. David Pipe's Dynaste showed he was up to mixing it with the big guns when second at Haydock and was electric in the Feltham over course and distance 12 months ago. Philip Hobbs has two possibles in last year's runner up Captain Chris, who made a sound comeback at Huntingdon, and Menorah. The Irish challenge is headed by Gordon Elliott's Grade One winner Mount Benbulben, with Willie Mullins having left in Prince De Beauchene. Martin Keighley's Champion Court completes the list of contenders.
