Carrig next stop for Carrigeen Racegoers at Carrigtwohill at the end of the month have something to look forward to as Dick Lalor has ear-marked the mares winners of two on that programme as the next port of call for last Sunday's impressive Killeagh scorer Carrigeen Lechuga. The Clonmel trainer said today (Tuesday) of the home-bred daughter of Beneficial: "She'll probably run in the mares winners of two in Carrigtwohill on Sunday week. She'll probably stay point-to-pointing for the time-being as she's only had three runs in her life and we just want to get a bit of experience into her. It's getting on in the season so we'll probably leave it until next season to go to the track. "I was very impressed with her last Sunday with the way she left them for dead between the third last and the second last - without any effort. In that category she looks good, time will tell whether she can go further. She is very relaxed at home – she wouldn't show a lot. "She did the very same the previous day in Wexford (Lingstown) as she won very easily there too. Liz (Lalor the rider and Dick's daughter) let her pop the last there but she said she was going very easily. "Her dam won four (Carrigeen Lily) and she was third in a Leopardstown Chase. The grand-dam won ten – so we've had great fun with the family. She is bred to be good and the mares in that family are very good – Carrigeen Kalmia was a good mare. It's nice to have another one that looks promising."
