Carroll moved to hospital but alert and moving

Gary Carroll has been taken to Naas General Hospital for further assessment following a fall on the way to the start on Holly Golightly at Naas today, having briefly lost consciousness following in the incident.

Carroll, who won the Queen Mary Stakes on Quick Suzy at Royal Ascot last week, received the fall from Holly Golightly which reared and slipped-up before the start of the Oaks Trial.

It is reported Carroll was briefly unconscious but was fully conscious leaving the racecourse, and was alert and moving.

The race was delayed by 24 minutes late as a result.
