Cartmel on following inspection Officials at Cartmel have given this afternoon`s National Hunt meeting the green light following an early-morning inspection.Heavy rain yesterday left the meeting in some doubt but clerk of the course Andrew Tulloch said: 'We`ve had an inspection and the course has passed but we will be taking a couple of fences out.'We had basically about three-quarters of an inch of rain from lunchtime up to five o`clock and from five o`clock to seven o`clock we had a complete deluge and there was water on the course last night.'There is rain forecast this morning but it will be clearing up this afternoon, they`re talking about sunshine coming from about two o`clock.'
