Lady Cecil has paid tribute to Noble Mission following the news of his retirement.

It was confirmed on Monday that the Qipco Champion Stakes winner will stand at Lane's End Farm in Kentucky next year after owner Khalid Abdullah sold a share in the full-brother to Frankel.

Noble Mission won three times at the highest level for Lady Cecil and the handler says he will live long in her memory.

She told www.warrenplacestables.com: "As a brother to Frankel, Noble Mission was always going to be a high-profile horse, but he became a top-class performer in his own right and gave a series of wonderful performances.

"In several ways, he was like Frankel to train - a very sound individual with a superb, powerful action.

"On the racecourse, he showed a high cruising speed that he was able to sustain for long periods. That was exemplified at Ascot in the Champion Stakes in which he also demonstrated an amazing will to win in that duel with Al Kazeem.

"On a personal level, I will never forget Noble Mission and feel privileged to have had the opportunity to train him. We wish him every success in his new career and sure he will do very well."
