Centauri on her winter break Alpha Centauri is enjoying a winter break before what promises to be a profitable three-year-old campaign next year. The daughter of Mastercraftsman was hugely impressive in winning her first two starts and came within a neck of claiming Royal Ascot glory when narrowly beaten by Different League in the Albany Stakes. She has run just once since, finishing fifth in the Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh in September. Trainer Jessica Harrington said: "She is finished for the year and we'll start to get her ready for the spring."
