Champion Court is to be checked out as his trainer Martin Keighley was not happy with the horse following his disappointing run in the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham.

Keighley reported his stable star to be "uncomfortable" immediately after the valuable handicap chase on Saturday when he was only seventh behind Johns Spirit.

Though Champion Court appeared none the worse today, Keighley is going to have his stable star scoped and blood tested.

"He seemed bright enough this morning, but I've going to have him blood tested tomorrow and scope him," said the Condicote handler.

"He didn't travel the way he normally travels, so there's something amiss somewhere.

"He was uncomfortable after the race on Saturday and a bit on edge. He wasn't himself for some reason so we'll have him checked out before we think of making any plans."
