Changes at Galway Saturday/Sunday - Galway change order of running for weekend fixtures The Turf Club has announced a restructuring of the programme of races for the final two days of the Galway Festival on Saturday and Sunday, 3rd and 4th August. With the exception of the Ladbrokes Handicap Hurdle (Grade C), Saturday will now be an all Flat eight race fixture, while Sunday will be an all National Hunt seven race programme. Commenting on the new format Racecourse Manager John Moloney said: “Having consulted with Clerk of the Course Lorcan Wyer, we have decided to change the order of running over the weekend. We want to use the track to it’s full potential and we feel we are making the best use of the track by having an all National Hunt fixture on Sunday.” The new order of running is as follows.
