Channon Keen On Power Mick Channon has high hopes for Royal Power in the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot on Tuesday. The West Ilsley trainer believes the colt has earned a crack at Group One company after his victory in the Group Two German 2000 Guineas at Cologne last month.'I don't think I've had a three-year-old improve quite as much as this fella,' said Channon.'He'll go on any ground and he's in great heart. I'm obviously looking forward to it,' he told At The Races.Chris Catlin rides Royal Power but no jockey has been booked as yet for Yasoodd, Channon's other runner in the one-mile feature.'I'm very sweet on both horses,' Channon concluded.(C) PA Sport
