Character Building to be aimed at Aintree again Character Building will be aimed at the John Smith's Grand National again next year following his game effort in the world's most famous race n Saturday. The grey gave his new owners, David and Patricia Thompson of Cheveley Park Stud, a great first run at Aintree when completing the course in seventh place. Cheveley Park Stud's managing director Chris Richardson said: "We were all thrilled. At the end of the day he was given a beautiful ride by Nina Carberry. "He got round which is very pleasing. The ground was probably a bit quick for him after all. They were always going a bit too fast in the conditions. "However, he came out of the race extremely well and he was turned out in his paddock the following morning. "Whether he runs again this season is unlikely. He'll probably have a break now and then we'll have another campaign building up to the same race next year and hopefully Nina will ride. "We're obviously delighted he's going to remain with John (Quinn) as well and he's got relatively few miles on the clock. "Hopefully we'll have several years of fun out of him and I'm sure he'll keep Mr and Mrs Thompson's colours going for some time yet."
