The racing community and the wider public have donated 70 items for the special fundraising auction for JT McNamara and Jonjo Bright at the Limerick Charity Raceday in aid of the Jockeys Emergency Fund on Monday October 14th.

The 70 lots include four tickets to next May's sold-out One Direction concert in Croke Park, an amazing trip for four to meet Frankel next Friday before going racing at Ascot's Champions Day on Saturday, a lifetime use of plain grey colours and yard visits to Aidan O’Brien and Willie Mullins. There is also a wide selection of 2014 stallion nominations.

Other sports have answered the call with signed jerseys, footballs and hurleys from this year’s All-Ireland hurling final and much sought after Heineken Cup rugby tickets.

There will be two separate auctions – a silent auction of 40 items and a ‘Top Lot’ auction. Bids for the silent auction will be taken throughout racing on Sunday and Monday in the silent auction marquee located beside the Parade Ring.

Goffs Director of Sales Nick Nugent will conduct the ‘Top Lot’ auction of unique and high-value items immediately after racing in the sold-out Greenmount Suite.

Anybody who is unable to attend but wishes make a bid on any of the top lots can send advance bids to Nick Nugent at [email protected] before 2pm on Monday.

All proceeds raised from the auction will be donated to the Jockeys Emergency Fund in support of John Thomas McNamara and Jonjo Bright, two jockeys paralysed following falls in March of this year.
