Following an update this morning, the chase course remains unfit for racing at Clonmel ahead of the scheduled meeting on Thursday, February 26, at the County Tipperary venue.

Racing hasn’t taken place at Clonmel since January 8 with the prolonged wet spell of weather badly affecting plans this month.

The meeting on February 12 was cancelled and rescheduled to last Friday, February 20, only again to be waterlogged and unfit for racing.

Following 6mm of rain, the going is currently heavy on the hurdle course. There is the possibility of a further 6-8mm of rain forecast prior to racing and the situation is being monitored.

The seven-race card on Thursday comprises five hurdle races and two chases.
