Chase track at Navan still unfit for racing

The chase course at Navan will continue to be monitored with frozen patches remaining on the track.

Racing went ahead following an early morning check but the chase course was inspected again at 10am and noon.

The latest inspection found the course still unfit for racing but Stewards have given permission for the situation to be monitored.

A decision will be made before the chases are due to be run. The first of three races over fences is due off at 2.35pm.

"It's still not fit for racing but we are going to let things run and make a decision before the chases are due to be run," stated Clerk of the Course Paddy Graffin.
