Cheltenham goes ahead This afternoon's high-profile meeting at Cheltenham has been given the go-ahead. The final fixture before the Cheltenham Festival has happily survived two morning inspections and a harsh frost. Although overnight temperatures dipped to as low as minus 7C, the protective covers at the Prestbury Park circuit have had the desired effect. Any lingering frost has now dissipated from the ground. Cheltenham communications manager Andy Clifton said: "Temperatures are rising all the time and the meeting will be going ahead as planned."
