Newcomer Yulong Baoju is obviously a very useful sort as she took the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden at Dundalk under Fran Berry for Eddie Lynam.

The daughter of Acclamation came out best in a blanket finish from another one of that sire's progeny, Quadriga with market principals Three Sea Captains and Wexford Opera third and fourth.

Lynam said: "That was nice. It's the first horse for the Chinese connections (Zhang Yuesheng).

"We've always liked her though it took a long time to get a name for her.

"She's the business - she's nice. Mick Donohue (BBA Ireland) - 40K (Goffs Open Yearling Sale last October) got her for me."

Joseph O'Brien picked up a three-day ban for excessive frequency with the whip on Quadriga and using the whip above the shoulder. (MG & EM)
