Victor's Choice went one better in style at Gowran Park this afternoon when taking the Thomastown Handicap for Adrian Murray.

She had chased home Madame Plaintiff on her last visit to the course, 15 days ago, and opened her account in emphatic fashion today.

Wayne Hassett produced the daughter of The Last Lion to lead over a furlong from home and the 9/4 favourite quickened away in the closing stages to post a five-and-a-half length win over I Bid You Ajou

“She did it well. Last time out here she loved it and came second,” said Hassett.

“Robson (Aguiar) said to do the same thing as last time and she won easily. She didn't do much when she hit the front and was saving plenty for herself.

“She loved that ground. I was a bit worried to be honest as it was very tacky but she did it well to be fair to her.”
