Chunga To Have Racecourse Outing Jeremy Noseda will give La Chunga a racecourse gallop at Newmarket next Thursday ? the final day of the Craven meeting ? ahead of her engagement in the Stan James 1000 Guineas on May 7.The More Than Ready filly was successful in one of her four starts last summer when landing the Albany Stakes and the Lowther Stakes runner-up is a general 25-1 chance for Classic glory.'I'm very happy with La Chunga and her early preparations have gone well,' the trainer told www.jeremynoseda.com.'It has always been our plan to start her three-year-old campaign off in the 1000 Guineas. She will have a racecourse gallop next Thursday at Newmarket.'Stablemate Salut D'Amour, who has nibbled at in the ante-post market for the Guineas, will be targeted at a recognised trial en-route to the fillies' Classic.The daughter of Danehill Dancer, second in the Queen Mary and the Cherry Hinton, looks likely to reappear in the Group Three Nell Gwyn Stakes on Wednesday.Noseda added: 'Bearing in mind the cold winter that we've had, the filly is well forward at this stage of the season.'She will probably head to the Nell Gwyn but we will also consider giving her an entry in the Fred Darling (ran as the Dubai Duty Free on April 22 at Newbury).'Araafa, third in the Horris Hill, is scheduled to have a crack at the Listed European Free Handicap at the Craven meeting.Noseda said: 'Araafa has worked well this spring and appears to be approaching the race in good order.'Meanwhile, one-time high-class juvenile Balmont is expected to make his seasonal bow in the Listed Abernant Stakes on Tuesday ? the opening day of the Craven meeting. ?
