Cirrus on the easy list Cirrus Des Aigles will miss the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud later this month after suffering a minor setback. Corine Barande-Barbe's stable star was due to clash with dual Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner Treve in the June 28 feature, but the nine-year-old is now set for a spell on the easy list. Barande-Barbe said: "It's just a little problem with his leg, it's very, very small but it just means that we cannot work him at the moment. It's nothing serious, just a little bump and a bruise but it will prevent him from running in the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud." She continued: "With a horse like him who gives everything in his work and racing, you have to be sure everything is 100 per cent otherwise you can have serious problems. "He can only do light work for a few weeks now so I think he will be off until the end of July." Cirrus Des Aigles has won seven Group Ones in France, Britain and Dubai and Barande-Barbe has raised the possibility of trying to add an Irish success to his tally when he is back to full strength later in the year. She added: "It is difficult to say when he will be back and where he will go, but we have not forgotten about the Irish Champion Stakes. "Maybe he will have a race before that, we will have to see, but that could be an option."
