Jessica Harrington's gelding was as low as 8-1 for the valuable price but has been taken out of the contest. All of the other leading fancies stand their ground headed by Paul Nicholls' JCB Triumph Hurdle winner Zarkandar. He is due to reappear at the weekend and could be joined by stablemates Brampour and Empire Levant. Nicky Henderson has a strong hand with Soldatino and the novices Darlan and Ericht still in the contest while other notable entries include Raya Star, Sire de Grugy and Get Me Out Of Here. The Willie Mullins trained County Hurdle winner Final Approach is another notable entry who is sure to attract plenty of market support should he take part. Edward O'Grady's Sailors Warn is the only other Irish entry still involved.
