The Noel Meade-trained Queenie St Clair powered clear in the closing stages to open her account in style in the concluding fillies maiden at Naas.

Colin Keane produced the 10/3 shot to lead travelling well passing the two pole and asked his mount to quicken away over a furlong from home.

The daughter of Fast Company hot top gear inside the final furlong and she galloped on strongly to post a six length winning margin over Finsceal Go Deo

It was a deserved win for Queenie St Clair who had been three previous occasions.

Keane said:- “We didn’t think she would be a maiden for this long to be honest but it looked a good opportunity today.

“She handles that ground well and seven furlongs suits her.

“Noel’s horses are running well and having a good end to the season.”
