Clonmel called off

Sunday's meeting at Clonmel has been cancelled due to a waterlogged track.

Officials at the track had been due to inspect the course at 8am tomorrow morning but further rain has forced them to bring forward their decision.

The Turf Club's Cliff Noone said: "It's been cancelled. They have had over 20 millimetres of rain since declaration time yesterday and the track is waterlogged.

"There's no chance of it improving as it's still raining and there's more to come, so they decided to inspect earlier."

Punchestown will hold a 7.30am inspection tomorrow morning due to an adverse weather forecast.

The course is currently raceable with the going heavy.
