Collier Future Uncertain Collier Hill's racing career is in the balance after a late setback ruled him out of the Dubai Sheema Classic. The nine-year-old was due to have a third crack at the 12-furlong contest after finishing third and second in the last two renewals at Nad Al Sheba. However, the Dr Devious gelding has been suffering with a foot problem for the last two weeks and had undertaken only sporadic work in the run-up to the weekend's prestigious meeting.Although he put in a final workout on the track on Friday morning, trainer Alan Swinbank was not satisfied with Collier Hill's condition as a long-standing joint problem has flared up again.'His old joints have come up again, they've been a problem for some time now,' Swinbank told PA Sport.'He went out shuffly and he came back in shuffly. He's not been 100% really, scratchy, not really himself and we should have maybe spotted it earlier, but there's no point in running a horse that is not 100%.'Obviously we're very disappointed but he's done us proud over the years and we'd have been more disappointed if something would have happened to him in the race and we hadn't got him back.'(C) PA Sport
