Come What May impresses on debut The Aidan O’Brien-trained Come What May (5/1) was an impressive three-and-a-half-length winner of the Gra Chocolate Maiden at the Curragh for jockey Wayne Lordan. The son of Nathaniel is a full brother to Epsom Derby winner Desert Crown, and he looks a useful prospect going forward for the O’Brien stable. He picked it up just inside the two and strode on to victory very easily. Speaking after the race, stable representative Chris Armstrong said: “He’s just such a big horse that he’s taken a long time to get here. “In fairness, for a horse coming here first time out, he did it nicely. “Wayne felt when the Aga Khan horse came to him it helped him in the finish. “At this time of the season it would probably have to be something like the Trigo Stakes (in Leopardstown) or the Finale Stakes back here. “To do that first time out is very promising.”
