Kings Jet gained a deserved victory with a cosy success in the William Hill Challenge Series Handicap Chase at Clonmel.

The Cormac Farrell-trained gelding had fallen at the final fence when leading at Listowel on his last outing.

He went to post a 9/2 shot today and was produced to lead early in the straight by Ricky Doyle.

Ceroc soon came to join but a better jump two out gave Kings Jet the advantage and he asserted before the last fence for a three-and-three-quarter length win.

"It has taken him a while to get his act together and is finally getting the hang of things. We have found his best trip and his jumping has come together,” said Farrell.

"Even though he is six, there is plenty more to come as he is still learning.

"This is great as he is owned by myself and a few friends. Hopefully he will progress from here."
