The going is sure to be testing this afternoon at Navan where a competitive seven-race card comprising three handicap hurdles, three handicap chases and a Listed bumper gets underway at 12.20.

There is a total of €145,000 in prizemoney up for grabs at this meeting which caters for horses with a handicap rating of up to 120 and a variety of distances from two miles up to three.

Some of the early morning market moves include Serienmond (6/1 to 5/2) in the opening 2m handicap hurdle, Killaney King (9/1 into 7/2) in the 2m4f handicap hurdle at 12.50 and Whateys Quest has attracted support from 11/2 into 3/1 for the 2m4f handicap chase at 2.25.

Gordon Elliott has dominated the concluding Irish EBF Future Champions INH Flat Race (3.35) with eight wins in the past decade and the Cullentra trainer again supplies the favourite in the shape of recent Fairyhouse winner Keep Him Company.

Following 4mm of rain since declarations, the going is currently described as soft to heavy.

Light showers are forecast throughout the day with 4-6mm (approx.) of rain.
