Condon out to make News in Bath Ken Condon saddles his first runner at Bath today when Newsletter, placed in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot, contests the Whitsbury Manor Stud & EBF Stallions Lansdown Fillies' Stakes. The Sir Percy filly is taking on older horses, but after being given a long break Condon hopes she can bounce back to the form which saw her beaten just a neck and half a length behind Anthem Alexander and Tiggy Wiggy. "If she reproduced that Ascot run then she'd be difficult to beat, you'd like to think," said Condon. ""The Queen Mary is a serious bit of form. We just have to take it on trust that she can recapture that form. "She's had a long break and is ready to go and I hope she can have a productive season in five- and six-furlong races. "This is a nice starting point. After this there's a race at Nottingham (Kilvington Fillies' Stakes) for her and then we can campaign her closer to home. I'm happy with her, she looks well. "We know that Demora likes to jump and run so we'll have something to aim at, but it is hard to beat these older horses, even if the weight-for-age scale tries to even it out." Another three-year-old in the field is Richard Fahey's Zuhoor Baynoona, while Clive Cox's Milly's Gift brings solid form to the table.
