Ken Condon is planning to send Moss Tucker for another crack at the Prix de l'Abbaye and his five-year-old gelding could take in the Group 1 Flying Five at the Irish Champions Festival in September en route to France.

The Excelebration gelding, who loves plenty of cut in the ground, was last seen finishing third in the Group 2 Sapphire Stakes at the Curragh last weekend, and has six victories in his locker.

The trainer said: "He doesn't look like a sprinter and the first race he ever ran was at Cork over an extended 1m2f, but was fifth in the (Group 1) Abbaye (in Longchamp) last year and, on soft ground, that's his main target.

"He missed the break last year and getting the right draw there is crucial, and the track normally gets deep ground.

"He is in the Phoenix Stakes over six (furlongs at the Curragh) but is doubtful and ran in the Abergwaun Stakes (Tipperary) on the way to France, but I think we might have a go at the Flying Five (at the Curragh) instead, if it is yielding. France is the main target though."
