Our Conor arrived back at Dessie Hughes' stables on Tuesday following his summer break.

The champion four-year-old hurdler, who was bought by Barry Connell following his impressive victory in the Triumph Hurdle, is expected to start the new campaign in the Tipperary Hurdle on October 6.

"He came back in on Tuesday. He's done really well and looks fantastic," said County Kildare-based Hughes.

"We'll be hoping the Tipperary Hurdle in early October will be his first run of the season.

"We'll hopefully run him in that and he'll possibly run in Punchestown in November. We'll know then how we're going.

"We'll be ready for whatever comes out at Christmas then."

Our Conor shares 5-1 favouritism with William Hill alongside Hurricane Fly for the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham in March.
