Consecutive monthly wins for Global Skies Global Skies (2/1f) registered consecutive monthly wins today, landing Limerick’s Joe Walsh Flooring Handicap Hurdle over two and a-half miles, for owners Charlie and Nuala Doocey. Bought for £16,000 last October and successful as a Flat juvenile in 2023, the son of Mondialiste won at Clonmel in June and today, under a 9lb penalty, recorded a battling half-length win from Friar Hogan under jockey Danny Gilliagn Afterwards winning trainer Ross O'Sullivan commented “we were worried about the ratings hike he received for winning the last day but he was in good form since that run and he toughed it out well today. “He is versatile and while I wouldn’t rule out going back on the Flat, he definitely looks like he could step up further in trip over hurdles. “Charlie Doocey and his wife Nuala (owners) came over from England this morning to see him run so this is great. They are originally from Mayo and their family is still in Ireland, and it is great that they have a few horses in training in Ireland. This is my first horse for them.”
