Consistent Tiffiny's Girl gains well deserved first win Having been placed on all four point-to-point starts, the Liam Burke trained Tiffiny's Girl was rewarded for her consistency when making the breakthrough in the Rathbarry & Glenview Studs Mares Maiden Hunters Chase at Cork. Sent off 10/3 under Johnny Barry, the Mrs Esther Dinneen owned mare chased leader Rebel Treaty for much of the contest. Leading three out, the daughter of Mahler went clear from the second last to run out an easy 12 length winner. Johnny Barry said: "She jumped and travelled great the whole way. She had bumped into a couple of good ones in point-to-points but she appreciated today's nicer ground and won nicely. "I messed up on her one day in a point-to-point but, with Liam, you're better off admitting you are wrong straightaway, so he forgave me! "Liam had her spot on and she is homebred by the Dineens as well, so hopefully they'll have more success with her. She jumps for fun and when she gets over each fence, she is already looking for the next one." Additional reporting by Thomas Weekes.
