Coral Easter Classic 2nd for Berry Fran Berry accepted Fire Fighting had been beaten by a "very nice horse" after Grendisar claimed the Coral Easter Classic All-Weather Middle Distance Championships Conditions Stakes at Lingfield. Berry will be a more familiar face to British racegoers this season after having signed up with the Ralph Beckett team for the new Flat campaign. And though Fire Fighting ran honourably in the valuable mile-and-a-quarter prize, Mark Johnston's inmate was no match for Lingfield maestro Grendisar. Berry said: "He's run a fabulous race and probably on this track that trip was probably a bit on the sharp side. "He's come home strongly and I'm delighted with him. He's been beaten by a very nice horse."
