Cork delayed due to accident Racing at Cork will be delayed by half an hour due to a road accident near the track, and the first race will now get underway at 2.40. The revised starting times for the six races are as follows: 2.40, 3.10, 3.45, 4.20, 4.55 and 5.25. The accident, which took place on the busy stretch of road at the racecourse's entrance, involved two cars and five people but Turf Club Doctor Kevin Mulcahy, who attented to the injured said, "There are no significant or serious injuries to report." He added "All five people are ok, alert and concious, apart from a few aches and bruises."
