Having appeared very unlikely earlier this week when the track was flooded, racing does take place at Cork Racecourse Mallow this afternoon and the going remains heavy following a further 7mm of rain overnight.

The action gets underway at 12.30pm on the seven-race card sponsored by McCarthy Insurance, and the weather forecast is for scattered showers throughout the day.

Naas hosts another seven-race jumping card tomorrow, with the Grade 2 Slaney Novice Hurdle the feature, and racing also begins at 12.20pm.
