Gavin Cromwell is hoping As De Pique will make the cut for the Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown on Tuesday.

The Navan handler has put a lot of work in to sorting out the 11-year-old's jumping and even enlisted the help of recently retired top jockey Paul Carberry.

"As De Pique will run in the Paddy Power Chase if he gets in," said Cromwell.

"We have done a lot of schooling with him as his jumping was not good the last day at Fairyhouse (when he was third to Forever Gold).

"Paul Carberry has done a lot of the work on him, and he's in good form."
