Cross-country off The Glenfarclas Cross Country Handicap Chase at Cheltenham today has been abandoned as the track is frozen. Course officials moved forward their proposed 10.30am inspection of the cross-country circuit as the frost in the ground failed to dissipate overnight. The remainder of the card has defeated the elements, however, and will go ahead as scheduled. Cheltenham communications manager Andy Clifton said: "It was clear the frost wasn't coming out in time, so we moved forward the inspection and have abandoned the race."
