Crowd up at Fairyhouse A fine day yesterday resulted in a significant increase in attendance for the first day of the Easter festival at Fairyhouse. The crowd figure was up 1404 from 6449 in 2010 to 7853 this year while the Tote also benefitted. Their turnover was up from 187,482 last year to 230,386 in 2011. The bookmakers suffered a drop however from 682,882 in 2010 to 639,104 this year.
