Although only third to May Call You Back at Tipperary earlier in the week, the Mick Winters trained Crowsatedappletart comprehensively reversed that form when easily winning the Molloy Metal Recycling Handicap Chase at Wexford.

With his Limerick Junction conqueror sent off 10/11f, the Winters trained gelding went to post at 7/1 for this second meeting inside a week.

Having mastered long time leader Must Be Dreaming entering the home straight, the stage looked set for a real battle between the two principals.

However, that never really materialised as Darragh O'Keeffe went clear after jumping the last, staying on strongly aboard Crowsatedappletart for an easy six and a half lengths success.

Indeed, May Call You Back weakened right out of it on the run-in, losing two places to eventually finish only fourth.

Mick Winters said: "He had a pull of 7lb with May Call You Back from the run on Tuesday. We were delighted with the ride Shane Fitzgerald gave him there and he definitely improved from it.

"He could come back here for a handicap in a few weeks, we kind of follow the tracks that he likes. We were here two hours before the first race and he was fierce happy in himself, he was asleep in the stable and things."
