Cuan ready for Tipperary Test Cuan Na Grai warms up for a likely trip to the Galway Festival in the Kevin McManus Bookmaker Grimes Hurdle at Tipperary on Sunday. Paul Nolan's nine-year-old was an impressive winner on his latest start over timber at Limerick in May and his trainer is confident of a bold show providing conditions do not become too testing. "He's in good form and we're looking forward to seeing how he gets on," said Nolan. "Hopefully he'll come out of it OK and then we'll look to the Galway Plate, but we'll concentrate on Sunday first. "He was good in Limerick the last day and he seems to be very adaptable in switching between hurdles and fences, so hopefully he'll continue to be so. "The main issue with him is the ground. He's nowhere near the same horse when the ground is soft and we had awful rain on Thursday night, so we just have to hope they don't get too much at Tipperary. "It's a hot race with some highly rated horses in it, but as long as we get some decent ground there won't be any excuses." Cuan Na Grai is due to face 13 rivals in the Grade Three prize, with World Hurdle third Powerstation an obvious danger. Other interesting contenders include Bahrain Storm, Essex and Nicanor.
