Cumani Hoping For More From Colori Le Vie Dei Colori bids to put his last run at Newbury behind him in the Haven And British Holidays Criterion Stakes at Newmarket tomorrow. The horse had earlier won for the first time since joining Luca Cumani in the Leicestershire Stakes. Asked if he was disappointed by the colt´s sixth to Rakti in the Lockinge Stakes, Cumani told At The Races: 'In a way yes, but it was a very strange race because the first six horses broke the course record. 'Rakti won in impressive fashion and we were a bit too late for second place - it was a bit of a bunch finish. The ground was very firm for him. He would prefer a bit of cut.' Le Vie Dei Colori faces seven rivals in the Group Three race on the July course, including Nayyir, who was second when the ex-Italian horse was third behind Soviet Song in last season´s Sussex Stakes. Cumani added: 'He´s perfectly genuine, but tomorrow is a tough race because Nayyir beat him last year and in theory there is no reason why we will beat him. 'But he is in good form and especially if we get the drop of rain that is forecast, he would have a good chance.' Arakan, Court Masterpiece, Just James, Royal Storm, Vortex and Coeur Courageux complete the field. ? PA Sport
