Sam Curling and Phillip Enright successfully teamed up for the second time at Tipperary this week as Queenofthelodge took the Easyfix Handicap Hurdle.

The pair were on the mark with 25/1 shot Belle The Lioness here on Tuesday but this mare was a lot more fancied going off the 11/2 joint favourite.

She struck the front early in the straight for Enright and was driven out on the run-in to beat Storm Mahler by a length and three-quarters with the other joint favourite Folly Beach three-quarters of a length further back in third.

Curling said, “She’s a nice mare and was unlucky the last day. She got a horrible fall and Toni Quail got a terrible fall off her but they are both okay which is the main thing.

“She did it nicely there and will go to Killarney for the 110 series final.

“I’d say she’ll keep improving and could go even further out in trip. She only ever does enough and hopefully can win a few more.”
