Cusack has the key to Starflow Cian Cusack has struck up a good partnership with Starflow and guided the Roger Brookhouse-owned gelding to victory in the SIS, Proud Supporters Of Irish Racing Handicap at Dundalk. Cusack rode the Henry de Bromhead-trained three-year-old to win at Cork last month at odds of 25/1. Here, having been sent off an easy-to-back 10/1 chance for the one-mile contest, the Starman gelding was in front early before Cusack took a lead on him after three furlongs. Back at the head of affairs inside the final quarter-mile, the winner fought off challenges on either side to beat outsiders Storm Eric and Polanco by half a length and a head. "I think he’s a horse that only does enough when he gets to the front. He’ll never really show his hand that much," said the winning rider. “I loved his attitude today, the blinkers definitely seem to be doing their job with him. “Even since his Cork run, he’s come on plenty at home and his work has improved.
